The LPCF Mixed Doubles Tennis Classic and Gala is an annual fundraiser which takes place every spring at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge. The LPCF tournament is highly sought after and well-attended by the local professional tennis community. Corporate sponsorships and proceeds from the tournament, gala and auction directly support grants for families. This event raises over $100,000 for LPCF each year.
Helping Heal Little Hearts is an annual fundraiser held every August, presented by Newsradio 1150WJBO with celebrity host Michael Berry. This party for a cause is held at the Varsity Theatre and features a VIP meet and greet, an exciting live auction, catered food by Stroubes and a concert by a popular band. The combined proceeds from sponsors, auction items, and ticket sales bring in over $85,000 for LPCF.
The LPCF Family Picnic provides a wonderful opportunity to unite local children and families who have similar medical conditions and experiences. This free, annual event for children with heart disease and/or defects is held every fall at BREC’s Webb Park in Baton Rouge. All children and their siblings enjoy food, balloon art, crafts, face painting, inflatables and more. The event concludes with a special red balloon release honoring all children battling heart conditions.

Heart Hero Hustle: 5k, 1-mile fun run & CHD Awareness Walk
Join us for LPCF’s inaugural Heart Hero Hustle! This event is a partnership with Ascension 4-H/LSU AgCenter and will be held on April 2, 2016, at Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales. It includes a 5k, 1-mile fun run, and Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Walk. Runners of all ages will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the course around the lake. Men, women, boys and girls are invited to participate. This is a non-competitive race, but a clock will be posted at the finish line for runners to check their times. Every finisher will receive a custom Heart Hero Hustle medal. Louisiana’s first Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Walk featuring heart families from all over the state will take place immediately after the 1-mile fun run ends. Food and drinks will be available as well as post-race activities and entertainment for children. Wear red and blue to show your support for the cause! Be sure to bring the forms with you on the day of the event! High school students who play any school or club sport in addition to cheerleaders, dance, flag or band members, and even mascots should get screened. 10th Annual Mixed Doubles Tennis Classic
LPCF’s 10th Annual Mixed Doubles Tennis Classic will be held April 21-24, 2015, at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge. This four-day event is LPCF’s largest fundraiser of the year, with all proceeds directly supporting our mission. Included are a calcutta & dinner on Thursday evening at the Clubhouse, tennis matches on Friday and Saturday, and a poolside After Party on Saturday evening, and more tennis on Sunday.
